"People first paid honour to a spot and afterwards gained glory for it. Men did not love Rome because she was great. She was great because they had loved her."

Monastery Timber Frame, Day 16-17

Monday saw us beginning the fourth truss in good form. Unfortunately, sickness and rain rolled in later that night and settled in with us all throughout Tuesday. We consolidated and covered all of the stock in the yard to keep the rain off. Staging the scribed material inside allowed work to continue despite the situation. It didn't make sense to try and have everybody working full boar with little to work on, so Wes chiseled out a handful of mortises solo.

Our progress is slowed, but the ground's been needing a wash for quite some time, glad for the rain. Tarping material and slowing progress for a day is a small price to pay for a long needed cleaning.
