Monastery of Jesus, Mary & Joseph

Fairfield, PA

A multi-structure project including a chapel, bell tower, dormitories, guest cottages, work buildings, etc. All told, quite an ambitious undertaking that a group of Carmelite Nuns have set before themselves. Quite an honor to have been asked to come alongside and help begin the work of realizing such a vision. It's always a joy to collaborate with clients who desire to not only build well for themselves, but for the future generations that come long after us. Work is beginning this year on a wood shed and a series of guest cottages built with traditional stone mass wall masonry and timber framing. Upcoming blog posts under the category Fairfield Monastery will serve as a means of marking milestones and discussing the materials and methodologies employed. We'll update the gallery below with pictures documenting the progress, so stay tuned.
